The Library;edit

i edited the poem, The Library.
honestly, i do prefer this version. it's more real(:

Archives of pages,
shifting in the stillnes.
muffled giggles and
the rearragement of papers.

Do you remember?
Do the memories reevoke in you
What they do in me?
Each corner and shadow,
Breathes with the heartaching reminder,
of you.
Of us.

Distracted studying,
Lovebites & toyed emotions,
Unwitnessed between shelves.
Promises of forever,
And notes full of "i love you"
pushed across the table

Inhaling the familiar,
Yet new.
Feeling naked,
in absolute full view.

What have we become?
The library's as it was,
& I watch others tiptoe off,
doing what we once did,
becoming what we once were.

Should i have?
was it no more than a mistake?
Giving myself to you
when i did

Foolish,
Yet I wouldn’t exchange
A single moment.
I stand back here,
Letting memories fill me.
Taking in the shelves of books,
the stillnes found in movement
The ring of each knife-like step
with the reminder of you
